Amy Stroupe
Amy StroupeAmy Stroupe is a Certified Fraud Examiner currently working for the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office as a Detective. She has more than ten years experience in law enforcement and has conducted hundreds of investigations in areas varying from violent crime, property crime and paper crimes. Amy worked five years in the banking industry recovering millions of dollars and preventing the loss of millions more. She has a work ethic that has earned her a reputation of being a top investigator.
Amy attended Cleveland Community College and Gardner Webb University and has a degree in Criminal Justice. She attended Gaston College earning her Basic Law Enforcement Certification, graduating first in class. Amy was selected Officer of the Year 2003 for Cleveland County. She completed Police Law Institute through the North Carolina Justice Academy.
Amy was recently featured in Fraud Magazine and was awarded the Association of Certified Fraud Examiner’s 2010 Sentinel Award for her investigation into the “Village of Penland Fraud”.
