Denise Cicchella brings 14 years of auditing experience to her client work at Control Solutions. She has been involved in the real estate field for over 17 years. Denise is a leader in the Construction Auditing division within our practice. Denise is a Certified Fraud Examiner, a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Construction Auditor and a Fellow in the Life Management Institution.
Denise also supports other construction-related engagements throughout our practice, whether her role involves risk management, project scoping, project management or quality review, etc. She exhibits excellent technical, writing and interpersonal skills.
Prior to joining Control Solutions, Denise was a Senior Auditor at MetLife, where she demonstrated excellence and led several projects in the areas of real estate, records management, construction and project management, and helped to execute and lead operational and construction audits throughout the company. Denise also participated in the internal Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 initiative by documenting key controls, designing test plans and executing tests of controls. In addition, she conducted fraud investigations and reported results to management and the FBI. She worked fraud investigation and did back office audit work for claims processing and worked with both Attorney General and Postmaster General to help persecute fraud, provide evidence and interrogate suspects.
Before MetLife, Denise was employed at Summit Bank, where she worked as an Auditor and Mortgage Service Professional. Here she coordinated audits and helped establish procedures for new areas of the bank. She also performed audits of electronic funds transfers and system matrix reviews (pre- and post-implementation.) Thereafter, Denise developed training modules and conducted classroom training for new and temporary employees.
Denise has been a part-time instructor and taught several subjects to evening students, including Business Communications, Accounting, Microsoft Windows and Applications, Desktop Publishing, Computer Crimes, Business Math and Spreadsheet Operations. She also conducted Saturday seminars on topics such as Effective Internet Usage and Safe Internet Surfing.
