About the Speakers:

Jennifer Jabbusch

     "Wireless Security"

Jack Wiles

     "Social Engineering"

Topic Descriptions:

"Wireless Security" - Discover the technical aspect of how wireless networks, phones and devices can put individuals and their families and organizations at risk and how to implement intelligent security. "Wireless networking is turning from luxury to requisite in the enterprise world as the last few holdouts in government and high-risk commercial are starting to sprout antennas," said Jabbusch. "Securing airborne communications is a never-ending task as we struggle to keep ahead of network hackers and data snatchers. As security professionals, we're always just a step ahead of the curve with wireless technologies."

"Social Engineering" - This educational, frightening and downright entertaining session will be presented by Jack Wiles, President of TheTrainingCo. During Jack's decades of experience in the worlds of both physical and technical security, his favorite work was as an Inside Penetration Team Leader. During their Red Team assignments, Jack's job was to first get his team inside the client's buildings and then attack their networks directly from their own work stations. He retired from his Red Teaming days UNDETECTED! Jack will also share some of his physical security exploits describing how he was able to get his team inside buildings that even had armed guards. This entire session will also include discussions of many recommended countermeasures that you can employ to lower your risk of being a victim.

He attributes most of his success in this field to his Social Engineering skills. Jack will also be sharing many of the details of the 'war stories' discussed in four of the books that he has co-authored for Syngress/Elsevier (the largest publisher of security related books in the world).
