Electronic Discovery touches virtually every area of the law, and in fraud cases, actions taken early in the investigative stages can have far reaching implications if the matter evolves into litigation or criminal charges are filed.  This training session will provide a solid foundation in electronic discovery terminology and practices and teach you how to prevent e-discovery missteps and preserve evidence in accordance with the requirements of the amended Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. 

Brandon D’Agostino, a solutions consultant for Clearwell Systems and a member of the South Carolina Bar, will cover recent cases and provide a live demonstration of how technology solutions can aid in the investigative process even before a civil complaint is filed.  He will provide insight into the requirements for preservation and handling of ESI once a matter evolves into litigation and how to ensure that e-discovery is conducted in a defensible manner.
